When starting a journey or a new venture it is customary to make an offering to Ganesh, the bringer of good luck and the remover of obstacles. We thought it a perfect reason to include an image from our private collection in the first publication of our www.indianbronzes.com gallery.

This is a good sized image which despite its age retains fantastic presence and detail. It is typical Tamil Nadu style. The puja mandap is not part of the image.
