Description

A spectacular image of the infant Krishna in a crawling pose. In this form He is known as Balakrishna. This is one of the finest examples we have seen and dates from the late 17th century. The detail is superb. A long time ago it was acid cleaned so has lost a great deal of patination. This is beginning to form once again.

It has been in our private collection for many years but we have been lucky enough to secure a finer pieces so are please to release this for sale. It is in excellent condition with no damage. A true collectors item.

We are particularly taken by the top knot.
