Description

This is a rare wooden carving of Hanuman that is unusual in size as well as in Hanuman's expression. Hanuman is represented with his huge mace as a warrior prepared for the battle of Lanka. His face shows a friendly, serene and selfconfident expression.

It was probably used to decorate a chariot during festivals.
