Description

It is uncommon to find images of Ganesh as impressive in size as this one. Here we see a beautiful image that despite its age is in remarkable condition. Mostly Ganesh images have a great deal of wear because of the amount of veneration they get.

We are particularly taken by Ganesha's vahana the rat that appears between the feet of his Lord.

There is a lovely patination and just some minor bronze loss around the back of the base.
