Description

A very fine and excellent quality image of Ganesha dating from the Vijayanagara period. Although under worship the detail remains intact in most parts. There is slight damage to the end of Ganesha's trunk, which would have extended slightly further.

Here we see Ganesha in typical pose holding normal attributes which remain intact. At his feet is his Vahana the rat.
