It is always nice to see Ganga Jumna images and to see a pair is special. Here we have a pair representing Bhu Devi & Sri Devi. They are of very fine quality with no damage. Sri Devi is shown with the breast band befitting her position as wife of Vishnu and Bhu Devi is shown bear chested and is Vishnu's concubine.

Most Ganga Jumna pieces date from the 18th century, some from the early part of the 19th century. These pair are most definitely 18th century and possibly the early part. The Ganga Jumna method of casting is now forgotten so they are becoming extremely sought after. These are a very impressive size and quality.
